This project was commissioned by a young businessman who required his home to be his place of work, his place to live and relax in, and a place to entertain large groups of business acquaintances. We designed this home with large open-plan spaces that spill onto a north-facing garden patio and braai area. The design includes an audio-visual room strategically placed to form part of the entertainment areas. Finishes will be minimalistic: off-shutter concrete, stone and natural timber. Special attention was given to the energy efficiency of this home.
Construction for this project is due to start in August 2015.
